We are pleased to support Alexander Grimm, a promising athlete, on his way to Olympia. Alex already won the Olympic Games in 2008 and we keep our fingers crossed that he also qualifies in 2016. Alex is 29 years young and was runner-up European champion in singles, European Champion in the team and the champion of the European Boater-Cross in the season of year 2015. Simultaneously, Alex studies mechanical engineering (master: lightweight construction and fiber composite technology) at the University of Augsburg. His final thesis is about the optimization of his boat. We are very pleased to have won him for the patronage of our third CFRP-lightweight competition in cooperation with the University for Applied Sciences (HAW) Hamburg in 2016.
Here you can find more information about him: http://www.grimm-alexander.de/ and https://www.facebook.com/olympiasieger.alexandergrimm/?fref=ts.
Paddle Tennis is a new sport which is a mix of tennis and squash, with the benefit of being faster to learn and easier to master. The court markings and the rules are the same as tennis, but in paddle tennis, opponents may only hit the ball under-arm and the walls of the court can also be utilized. Heinkel Group supports the national paddle tennis team in numerous ways and sponsors the team until the end of 2016. The European championship will take place in Holland in 2015 and the German national team will hopefully compete in the world championship in South America in 2016. Heinkel Group is looking forward to walking alongside the athletes on their journey.
