This year’s CFRP competition in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences (HAW) Hamburg takes place on the patronage of Alexander Grimm. Three student teams were elected to construct an extremely light but stable canoe paddle. Alexander Grimm is momentary writing his master thesis about the optimization of his boat.
The students have 3 months to design and fabricate the paddle. The jury consisting of an engineer from Heinkel Engineering, Prof. Martin Huber (HAW) and Martin Röhrig (CTC Stade) will decide in June which team has developed the lightest but most stable paddle. The winning team receives a win bonus of 300,- EUR. We are looking forward to it!
